A Life Worth Living

A True Journey of Faith

By: Tim James Simpson

Narrated by: Bob Needler

I am not famous. I will never be rich. I will most likely never stand and speak before thousands of people. But, I have a story to tell. You could say this is an adventure. Once you begin listening to this you will see how God took an ordinary man from a little hollow in Johnson City, TN through many different trials; ranging from thoughts of suicide, drinking, and going from one bad marriage to another. During all this, the Lord was directing me (most of the time without me realizing it). In doing so, he directed me to a small church where I began as an usher. He then led me to a huge church in Richmond, Michigan where I ended up in the middle of the original Mormon Church. You will see how the Lord began to reveal truths to me that I could have never known on my own and how he used me as a vessel to open the eyes of those around me. I went from being called into meetings with church elders to having men and women of the church rise against me, demanding that I be silenced.

Who Are the Seven Day Adventists?

By: Tim James Simpson

Narrated by: Joel Dwayne Hair

I have long had a fascination with other beliefs. I began in a non-denominational church, and to say the least, I really did not understand the restraints of the denominations of today. That is, until I joined and preached in a church in Michigan called the Community of Christ, which my first book was largely about. There will never be the perfect church on Earth, especially run by us humans. However, God did leave us the guidelines that he expects us to follow. God did not design our faiths to be separate and in constant conflict with one another, especially over simple doctrinal issues that have, over the centuries, torn God's people apart. He wanted us to worship and praise him as one body, not the separate ones that we are today. With that said, in this study of the Seventh Day Adventists, you the listener can determine if this the church for you, or if it is, as some might conclude, a cult that has pulled God's people away from his word, and set them on a path to damnation.

Who Are the Jehovah Witnesses?

By: Tim James Simpson

Narrated by: Joel Dwayne Hair

Who are the Jehovah's Witnesses? Many of us have seen or been visited by folks calling themselves Jehovah's Witnesses. Most of us have slammed the door in the faces of these hard working young men and women as they try to share their gospel with us. I, however, use to delight in conversation with such folks as these, not to be argumentative but to try and understand their doctrine. Of course, when you speak to the Jehovah's Witnesses, you always get the same watered down doctrine that they publicize such as, "Jesus Christ didn't agree with the view that there are many religions, many roads, all leading to salvation. Rather, he said: 'Narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.' (Matthew 7:14) Jehovah's Witnesses believe that they've found that road. Otherwise, they'd look for another religion." literally believe theirs is the only religion, and as we venture through the history to see how they became what they are today, you can decide for yourself is being a Jehovah's Witness is the only path to salvation.

Who Are the Mormons?

By: Tim James Simpson

Narrated by: Joel Dwayne Hair

What is real? In doing this study, I asked God to confirm The Book of Mormon to me. Instead, he started revealing its falsehood to me. When I study the Bible, I go into it with God. When I started my study on The Book of Mormon, I did the same. He began to reveal things to me in all sorts of ways about the book and its author. So, here is the true story of The Book of Mormon.

I am a presidential history buff, or a nut as my wife might say. I love reading about bygone times of Grover Cleveland, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and my favorite president of all Theodore Roosevelt. Why Roosevelt you might ask, well to try and keep it simple he was real, what you saw is what you got, I identify with him in a lot of ways, allow me to explain. He was a big game hunter and yet he formed sanctuaries and parks for preservation. I can see that I don’t hunt personally but have friends that do and I don’t condemn them for it. I love animals and yet I would kill one if it meant my family was going to starve. He left office as secretary of the navy to join a fight against Spain; no one would ever do that especially in our society today.Roosevelt was a cowboy, a boxer, a politician, a war hero, a father, a devoted husband, and most of all a real human being and I respect that I hope you will read or listen to this book in his own words and get to know one of your presidents and I hope that you will come to appreciate him as much as I have. Let me begin by saying I am passionate about history. I love the lifestyles of the bygone eras. I love how tough and yet how simple life was. Sleeping under the stars was a regular life for some. Traveling the lands was the life for others.

The book you are about to listen to is in the public domain. And for that, I am thankful. That way, I can keep it as much to the original as possible. The English in which it is spoken might be tough to listen to, but I like it! It makes me feel as though Crockett is standing and speaking with me personally; I want that feel.

I hope you feel the same when you listen to the audiobook. Well, I have said enough. I believe, now, with no further ado, I turn the floor over to Mr. Crockett.

George Armstrong Custer attended West Point, graduating in the Class of 1861. He served as an officer in the United States Army during the Civil War. He was present at the Civil War's first major engagement, the First Battle of Bull Run, and was the officer who received General Robert E. Lee's Flag of Truce, marking Lee's surrender, at the end of the war.

Custer fought with the US Seventh Cavalry in the Indian Wars beginning in 1867. He was killed at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876, a battle that has come to be known as Custer's Last Stand.

Who are they? That is a good question, and maybe this audiobook will help you answer that. Originally this was published as three separate books, but I have decided to put them together for the first time.

This volume contains:

  • Who Are the Jehovah Witnesses

  • Who Are the Seven Day Adventist

  • Who Are the Mormons
