Where and how did all the events from the book of M series begin? Right here with one woman, Elizabeth Bathory. She started it all. How did she bring together The Phantom of the Opera, Professor Moriarty, the Invisible Man - well this prequels tells it all.
The Countess Elizabeth Bathory Living in exile, has never given up on her struggle for eternal youth. So with the aid of the gentleman thief, Arsène Lupin, the brilliant Professor Moriarty, the invisible man, and the Phantom of the opera, she is able to summon the headless horseman to retrieve, the sarcophagus of one of the greatest emperors ever to rule Egypt, the Frankenstein monster, and the ashes of Count Dracula to achieve her lifelong goal of eternal life. What could possibly stand in her way?
In retirement and living out his days in a cabin, Sherlock Holmes quietly plays a tune in his violin when a man comes to his door in the middle of the night followed by vampires. The stranger's name is Van Helsing. After the death of Dracula he has spent his years chasing the creatures Dracula spawned and his journey has led him to the door of one of history's greatest detectives. Together Van Helsing and Sherlock Holmes set out to stop the plans Of Elizabeth Bathory, and aiding in their mission are none other than Don Diego de la Vega, (Zorro) who has decided to spend his retirement years traveling the world, when he meets Holmes and Van Helsing. Also helping in the crusade are Allan Quatermain, Captain Ahab, and Dr. Henry Jekyll, or Mr. Hyde.
Dracula has risen, the world as it is known is over. With the countess out of the way, he precedes to exact revenge on the entire world. He has taken control of the headless horseman and sends him to destroy all of the Gypsies in the area; all the while he fights to get his hands on the precious book containing all of the secrets of the monsters, that is simply titled M. However, he is not the only problem anymore.
The Mummy has been sitting silently in the corner of Bathory's chambers awaiting for the day the mystical words are spoken; that day has come, and now the mummy has been brought from the unknown and being the ruler of the dead, he begins his reign by taking control of every dead creature in the land, including Dracula's army of vampires. Now the land is over run by zombies, and there seems to be nothing that can stop them.
Jekyll has lost everything, and now he is alone, and seeking only to die like his only friends. But Hyde has other plans for him. Once Hyde takes control, he wonders into a town over run by zombified werewolves and vampires; however, with all of the chaos going on, he finds hope in some new friends.
Percy Blakeney was once an aristocrat in France by day, but at night, he donned a mask and aided in the rescue of men and women condemned to death. He was known as the Scarlett Pimpernel. Along with Percy Blakeney, he befriends another man, a professor who has a cunning way of escaping any situation and has a knack for building contraptions. His name is Professor Challenger.
Also seeking an end to the madness is Sherlock Holmes with the aid of Dr. John Watson, Diego De La Vega, Arsene Lupin, Allan Quatermain, and their new ally, Dorian Gray. Professor Moriarty is fighting to keep his book out of the hands of evil, so he sends the book of M with Sarah and the Frankenstein monster who has now become a werewolf himself. She was imprisoned by an evil woman, locked in a dungeon, but she escaped and now she is getting her revenge on the rest of the undead....
She is on a quest to rid the world of the very things that had destroyed her life; however, there is one more vampire left, and he wants to pick up where Dracula failed. His name is Lord Ruthven, and he leads a small army of some of history's worst vampires, like Sir Francis Varney, Addhema, and Carmilla; however, they are not the only threat anymore.
On an isolated island, a doctor by the name of Moreau continues his research on genetics in humans and animals when he is approached by a scientist who has found a serum that can reanimate the dead. So with the help of Dr. Herbert West, Moreau recruits other scientists to help in his evil deed of ruling the world with science. Others that are aided in his endeavor include Dr. Nikola, Dr. Omega, Sandokan, Arthur Gordon Pym, George Plummer, along with many others.
However, Sarah is not battling this alone. She has the help from Randolph Carter, Thomas Carnacki, Sexton Blake, Tom Sawyer, the Frankenstein Monster, Dorian Gray, the Nyctalope, and Constance Dunlap. Will she be able to stop both the vampires and scientist?
Zorro, with Sherlock Holmes, Van Helsing, Arsen Lupin, and others, defeated the likes of Dracula, the Mummy, and the evil werewolf leader.
Once the war was over, Diego Vega, also known as Zorro, decided to continue his trip around the world. When duty calls yet again, Zorro is thrown back into the fray. This time someone from his past adventures seeks revenge on the masked hero, and Zorro must continue the fight against a group of scientists led by a mysterious leader from the island of Dr. Moreau. So now listen as Zorro continues to fight the evil that yet again is plaguing the lands.
After battling the likes of Dracula, a mummy, and wolves with allies such as Zorro, Van Helsing, Arsène Lupin, and many others, he hopes to retire, but the events are still implanted inside his mind. But things are far from over and he has one last case to solve.
