God has always used ordinary human beings to do extraordinary things, such as Elijah raining fire from heaven; Samson - well Samson was awesome, from beating an army with a donkey's jaw bone to killing a lion with his bare hands; or using a little shepherd boy named King David to bring the Messiah into the world, just to name a few that you would most likely remember.

But what about the hundreds that you may have never heard of? People like Smith Wigglesworth, John Bunyan, and A. A. Allen. These men existed also and did some modern-day miracles, from healing to bringing the dead back to life. God used them as he did the biblical prophets. They may not have been as well known or had many books written about them, but they still lived. Their exploits may not have been recorded, but it doesn’t change the fact that God used them to do modern-day miracles during the time of their ministries.

What you are about to listen to is a work of fiction; it is a novel. I have wanted to do this particular story my whole life. Throughout this book you will see how Satan is always behind the scenes, trying to tear down men and women of God, and how God uses people to achieve impossible goals, sometimes with the help of supernatural beings we call angels. The setting is that of a time during the late 1800s, when life in America was still fairly new and things were much simpler, yet life in general was harder. However, the supernatural world never changes; it doesn’t rely on fashions of the day or even political views. It remains unbiased. As you listen to this adventure of the Samson family as they try to pull together to defeat evil, fighting the natural and the supernatural worlds, you will see how life, death of loved ones, sickness, and just plain evil men can try to stop you from doing the work of the Lord, but in the end the Lord always wins.

Sons of Thunder (Vol 3)

Preachers and False Prophets

When I write I get lost in the world that I create. I can visualize places and people as I write them and with the Sons of Thunder I get completely lost in the time in which it takes place. It is just before the turn of the century where men were men and women were women there was no confusion in that fact people loved hard lives yet they made the best of what they had. Preacher were respected people would go out of their ways to help one another, mustaches were huge and dressed were long it was a glorious time in America where everything was brand new from radio, to movies, to the automobile everything was advancing, and yet there was still the horse that was everyone’s friend. They were transportation; they helped with the farm work and they help save lives it was a great time to be alive. My hope is that this book will help pull you from your everyday reality and for a few hours take you back to a time where things were simpler, tougher, more dangerous, and yet more free. So kick back and enjoy The sons of thunder. Tim Simpson March 2, 2019 Kingsport tn.

         Narrator

"I enjoy reading. However, due to long commutes between home and work I listen to many audio books."

You will no doubt see Lawrence's name throughout my audio books that is because he has narrated many of them for me. He has a rich deep voice that can go into all sorts of ranges. He has been the voice of the Samson family, Jack Manson, and many others.
